I recently started wearing a helmet. I have nothing against those that choose not to wear one, but I figured I'd rather be living.

I have nothing against hipsterism.. I just don't care for the culture itself. The fixies, Macs, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and flannel shirts aren't bad though XD

Really the only aspect I like about hipsters is that they ride fixies and drink the beer of my state. Otherwise, I don't really care much for them. It's really nice to see a song dedicated to fixies though! XD

I used to skid a lot, but then I realized I had a brake. It's fun, I know, but I spent 30 bucks on that tire! Even when I do go brakeless, I skid very little. A lot of stopping is about leg power, as opposed to skidding. FEEL THE BURN! :D

this happened to me once.. i was going down a busy street like 20 mph, and then that happened. it flipped me off the bike and landed me on the street. I've been a single speed fixed gear rider since then.. XD

if you are building a fixie, you can't just put it on there. the safest way is to just buy a wheel. there is however, the Suicide Hub. If you don't mind welding, using LocTite or JB Weld, then go right ahead. Just be very cautious.
