About Me:
 
After receiving his Bachelor's from The City College of New York in Entertainment Pre-Law, Ty-Ron Mayes transformed what was a hobby, into a career in fashion. Ty-Ron developed his unique gift in combining his love for upscale quality clothes with a special dramatic flair. His sense of high fashion and consistent storytelling ability caught the eye of his mentor - the late world renown photographer, Francesco Scavullo. Ty-Ron worked with Mr. Scavullo on many top fashion magazine covers with celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks, Iman and Elle McPherson. During his tenure, Mayes styled covers for Scavullo and the Iconic Fashion Editor Sean Byrnes for L'Oficial, AMICA, Ladies Home Journal and American Cosmopolitan Magazine. Since then, he has worked with several prestigious fashion photographers such as David LaChapelle, Sante' D'Orazio, Mark Borthwick, Guy Aroch, Antoine Verglas, Udo Spreitzenbarth and Marlena Bielinska, as well as the legendary portrait photographer, Mary Ellen Mark. No stranger to celebrities, Mayes has dressed some of the best including Mariah Carey, Emeniem, Michelle Rodriguez, Kyle McLaughlin, Heidi Klum and many others. Numerous covers bare the mark of his style including international editions of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Amica.
