This channel is dedicated to the device that defined an era lasting over a century. The typewriter is iconic like the Polaroid picture or the floppy disk; devices that lasted so long and became such popular items and then disappeared.

We feel that the typewriter ought not be lost on this generation, with the high-tech computers largely replacing the typewriter. Don't get us wrong; we think that a computer has it's uses... typing just isn't one of them.

When you buy a typewriter an put it into use, you are not only helping to save them, but also helping the planet. A typewriter can last an inexplicable length of time... more than a century even with regular use! A computer comes to the end of it's life in less than a decade, not that we're comparing.

Typewriters also seem to have that charm that many younger people are getting into... something like the ongoing trend aiming at the comeback of the vinyl record. We like how they feel to type on and the feeling of being a genuine part of the writing process without the interference of a computer. Naturally, it makes for one odd learning experience, but it can make it fun!
