Wow, this guy hit the nail on the head. LP is one of the whiniest bands ever.

This scene should of happened two or three seasons ago. Man, they're really stretching this show out wayy further than it needs to be. Seasons 5 and 6 are incredibly bland, Season 3 is generic/predictable, and Season 4, while good, is filled with plotholes and wasted storylines.

I just finished Season Two and while this show is very intense and addicting, the overall arcs are very underwhelming. There just isn't much "there" there. Does it get better?

Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad, early Dexter, Deadwood, The Sopranos, and The Shield are my favorite shows.

The Wire is better than all of them.

This show is fucking legendary. As much as I love Six Feet Under, Deadwood, The Sopranos, The Shield, Breaking Bad, Dexter, etc...none of them even touch the realism, complexity, social relevance and thematic power of The Wire. I'm floored how every time I watch it I notice something new, some ...

Look at D'Angelo's subtle eye shifting when he sees Wallace coming back. That's some amazing acting right there, just a single look that only lasts a moment yet says so damn much.

The Wire has objective reasons as to why it's the best: Unparalled realism, scope and social revelance and depth. No other fictional show compares in these areas.

The Sopranos has a great first season but isn't that amazing of a show. People need get off Tony Soprano's dick, it isn't the year ...

Season Four is grossly overrated...the main reason people think it's the best is because it involves kids and gets all the 25-40 year old suburban white people all emotional and teary-eyed. In reality, the season has a lot of problems and isn't nearly as intense or interesting as the remarkable...
