My name is Tyrone,
I grew up in " The Grand Old Church of God In Christ". (C.O.G.I.C.). In Oakland, Mount Olive Church of God In Christ,Under the Late Willie D. Davis. My first solo was at the age of 5yrs. I went to gospel concerts as a child. My favorite female group was "Albertina Walker And The Caravans", my favroite male gospel singer was " The Late Rev.James Cleveland. At the age of 12 years. the Lord blessed me to be the choir director
at my church.( Mount Olive Church Of God In Christ in Oakland, California). As a young man I became a member of " Helen Stephens And The Voices Of Christ." The Voices recored nine (9) Albums. The first recording titled " James Cleveland Presents The Voices Of Christ Some How I Can Sing".

The Voices Of Christ has traveled Singing Praises to God. The Voices has won many award at The Academy Of Gospel Awards,and in the Hall Of Fame. The Voices of Christ has birth many Choirs and soloiest, such as the wellknown Daryl Coley, and others. The Voices Of Christ, was the sister Choir to The Late Rev. James Cleveland And The Southern California Community Choir. We would sing at their anniversaies and They would sing at our annivesaries each year.

In 1992, Helen Stephens became a newly appointed member on the Board for ,
The National Board Of Directors of The Gospel Music Workshop Of America Inc.
And has been there every since. She is
Over the Gospel Music Workshop Mass Choir. With Rodena Preston
