The rubber Guard is a clinching guard. I mean why not. Your clinching from every other position. The sidemount, the mount, north south.. Especially if your opponent is bigger or stronger than you. You cannot give them any space to counter/move. So why isnt this same concept applied in the guard. IT IS applied in the rubber guard. Control is key before submission. If i cannot control my opponent-if i cannot break them down and control them in an EFFECTIVE_OFFENSIVE GUARD. Your guard is nothing..Your simply getting beat up while your ATTEMPTING submissions. The rubber guard allows you SPECIFIC paths that allow you to already realize your opponents counters/options. If i already know what your gonna do.. Im already there. waiting for you...
