@DaAliBerryz like everything with the beatles you take it all with a grain of salt. there is an actual eleanor rigby buried in liverpool,not a coincidence imo.

I read that all the beatles were in on R9 at the start and all were enthusiatic but in the end only john and george stayed the distance.

The reason Clapton is on this is because when they first started to record paul and john would just muck about and not take it seriously. So george went and brought in clapton & from then on they behaved themselves lol

@alcockell i agree,he was the real 5th beatle and a genius at producing. He brought many of the beatles more out there ideas to reality.

The odd thing is they really tried to get this song right as something like 100+ takes were made. Personally I would have removed WDWDIITR which has never appealed to me & it could have rocked up on Anthology later like Not Guilty. Still at least we did get an official release.

Thing is they could have made an entire album of this type of music but it would have been far too much for 1966 teens to handle and probably would have flopped.

@STARMANMOD I think they were talking about recording while high not writing. For instance the first two lines of I Am The Walrus were thought up on acid. Many lyrics,ideas and music would have been dreamed up on weed and acid but they never recorded high as it would have been crap.
