Firstly, you should agree with me in principal that S.A. govt. and the boers plotted racism for hundred years; this eventually lead to an isolation for many years.
I take your point into account of the primary British interest in Africa due to the abundance of Natural Resources. You should also note that, without British colonization S.A. could have faced similar fate as Nigeria, Sudan or ethiopia. While a colonial govt. is in power, there are always violation of human rights, however, British colonization also brought technologies and renesa in many section of S.A economy (e.g. Banking, Railway, Urban planning, V.C. etc. )
Britain is responsible for S.A.'s economical revolution today. Britain helped S.A., through British commonwealth, to grow it's financial sector. As a result, S.A. today, is the leading finance centre in Africa.

sol5k - you have made some points regarding the genocide in South Africa and there preceding isolation from International community afterwards. You have accused the then British empire for that genocide. I appreciate as you have phrased it out well.
I agree with you that England could be held responsible (to a certain degree) for the racial violence in S.A. As I understand the our government is doing all it can to support Africa with Aids, Technical assistance and flexible immigration law. However, after reading your comment and visiting your page, I understand that there might be other issues which I am not well aware of. I would appreciate if you further elaborate on this matter (The racial violence in S.A.). I would love to learn of it.

With the Survey in S.Korea showing majority of its citizens are anti Japanese, does not put Japan on the sword, does it ? Japan has a very strong record which is very consistent; also it is being ranked as top ten most peaceful country in world only surpassed by Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and three other countries.If you perhaps like to take a look at "global ranking for social awareness", Japan ranks 5th , ahead of all G-8 nations.

I understand the torture and pain that Japan's imperial Army has inflicted on East Asian countries, but that should not leave much room for bragging, even after 60 years when Japan has completely changed its imperial image to a highly modern, educated and passionate country.

South Korea and China must move on to undertake new challenges that involves GLOBAL WARMING or Terrorism. Bragging history back in, only inflicts hate, and it is a hindrance to any form of a healthy social nurturing .

They seem to think that Japanese do not understand English and make a fool of Japanese.
Of course, I belieave that they are a part of Australian, and I want to believe so. And probably most of Japanese like Australians.
But a part of Japanese to see such movies must have an unpleasant impression toward Australians.
What do you think about this point?

I wouldn't argue with your point that there aren't any racist Japanese. In deed there are. You would find them among the "Baby boomer", that is people approaching 70's. Many of these people do possess ideas like Japan being a Major Military power in Asia (That does not pose any logical threat of repetition of history though)
Now, in youtube, it is true that we find some fanatic Japanese responding to some nasty racist messages with similar term, hence, they end up throwing muds at each other and ruin any chance of having a logical argument. However, the Majority of the Japanese people does not act this way.
In regards to the Suicide rate, I must say it is only second to the Korea, which is indeed poor record. I believe these are the result of a faulty social structure (e.g. Japanese people often never say what they think or believe which in the long run translates into mental stress and agony).

There are indeed other problems that Japan faces, which I shall focus in next writing. Just to give you a clue, Japan's working condition is one of the worst among the developed nation. I will explain in next posting on this.

Now, I will try to highlight some of the reasons behind my claim of Japan being truly developed country:
1. Over 90% of the total population reads Newspaper daily to keep themselves upto date with the latest happening around the globe.
2. Majority of the population opposes to any fanatic decision that the government takes (e.g. Regarding Yashikuni Shrine, Relation with Korea etc)
3. When reaching on a conclusion, majority of the population, would consider logics not biased understanding.
4. People are very peaceful and crime rate is the lowest in the world.

Contrary to what you say, I find many fanatic Japanese members on YouTube with very strong racist comments against other nations. Many of them seem to use various fake IDs too. Are they a very small portion of internet junks not representing Japanese as a whole? I hear Japanese can be very fanatic. Is it not true?
I am a white Australian person, and my view of Japanese is changing greatly as I browse through much of Hate Messages posted by Japanese against other nations. I have to say I do not like Racist view of Japan.
Seeing you are an English gentleman, I might ask you opinion. Can you tell us abit about suicide rates, living condition, and other problems facing Japan today?
your comments indicated Japan is a developed country contrary to United States. How do you mean?
