@Sylvanranger The world 'best' is highly subjective and thus vague. I would say that Steve is highly original, has great energy and mixes very eclectic influences such as flamenco, bluegrass and rock and was the reason I started playing guitar.

If you look at Hasselbeck then you might think 'the designer' was pretty skilled but when she opens her mouth and hear the tone of her voice and ideas that thought vanishes!

You are flat in the bends...the best way to correct this to play the target note on the string then bend until you get the same pitch...nice playing..you play better than I did at your age:)

Not too much hating guys his acoustic guitar work is interesting and no-one could ever even try to compete with Gillian's vocal interpretation and range on this song so better that she let her sisters do the backing vocals and didn't try to scream!

@SmileyGarrish That is not quite correct for if one reverses the note succession of smoke on the water it has a chromatic slide which Beeth old boy's 5th doesn't contain so it is only inspired by the fifth not an exact reversal of it.

To hear the real quality of an instrument it has to be played clean before getting to the distorted sounds...beautiful guitar but I still have little idea of what it sounds like...you could have played a crappy low cost guitar through those effects and it would have sounded pretty much the same.
