Turn Around America Video Competition

Last summer, retired steelworker Steve Skvara brought 20,000 people to their feet at the AFL-CIO Presidential Forum when he told a heart-wrenching story of his family's health care nightmare. He asked a very simple question,

"What's wrong with America, and what will you do to change it?"

The candidates got their chance to answer, and now the AFL-CIO is sponsoring a video competition to engage and inspire people from across the country to answer that question and take it one step further — "What's wrong with America, what changes would you like to see and how do we turn it around?"

Our goal is to start a new kind of national conversation through this video contest. This contest is not about winning iPods™ or flat-screen TVs, the stakes are much higher. This is about making your voice heard and earning a platform in our national conversation on the future, the upcoming election and beyond.
