About Me:

At our core we are a music making / song writing duo more than a little obsessed with guitars, however we like to play with other people and our band. Rob, Ed and L'il Phil have been in the frame for a long time. We have a crazy lovely fan base who keep us in business and we feel like our best is just ahead of us - like a giant golden carrot leading us on and on, down a road, across a field and into a brown sack.... They will have to kill us to stop us.
Record Label:
Virgin Records
Label Type:
Major Label
Band Members:
Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian
Influences:
Miles Davis to Fugazi and back again. We tend to pass all our influences through the genre of folk tinged indie rock, but being English the idea of putting ourselves into a genre in the first place makes us want to tear our man flesh suits off, but that's not your fault. Some have said we make a sweet spine tingling kind of noise while others say we are "quietly seething." Some even say we rock like monkeys! Here's what we say..... You decide.
Sounds Like:
We sound a bit like a cowboy from the old west in the streets of 21st century London who is being forced at gun point by his own shadow to confess his hopes and fears into an old tape recorder for uses unknown, with lots of guitars, beats and harmonies ricocheting off the concrete canyons all around....

Hi!

A dear friend of mine told me to listen to "Underdog" one night, and from that moment you had another fan! :)

My favourite track though is without a doubt "Fishing for A Dream", with the beautiful line "Let´s do loneliness in style".. Absolutely wonderful piece of work that song.

I usually change what video is on my channel every other day, and Turin Brakes def is the leader with now having had 3 tracks as "Vid of the Day" on my page, lol! :))

Thanks for the music & keep giving us more!

Hi fellas. Just want to say thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your interview at Latitude 2009. It's so refreshing to see a band genuinely relating to the folks that love and buy their music. You don't know how much we appreciate it. Big congrats on your forthcoming album, can't wait! We're right behind you (but not in the panto sense!) Ta ra Anne xxx

Ah, i remember the first time i heard mind over money. it was 2003 i was on crappy oil rig in the middle of the North Sea when it came on MTV. As soon as i hit dry land i went out a purchased The optimist and listened to the solo on Underdog about......well a lot. Have bought every album since an never been let down and im now giving Ether Song special disk a hammering. You two blokes are guitar Virtuosos in your own right.
