This band and album was my first introduction into experimental/instrumental music. It completely changed by whole consumption of what music was, and now what it should be.

All movies that depict Batman are great, however this one set the tone and milestone to lead then others to show his sad and depressing story. Because really Batman's entire story is depressing and the audio from this movie highlights it.

You must understand Batman/Bruce Wayne's life he has suffered through the death of his parents, he can't tell anybody his deepest secret, he fights internal and external fights alone (well the help with Alfred), he loses one of his partners Jason Todd, and the friends that are around are injured ...

This scene is from one of the first animated movies Mask of Phantasm, which is really one of the best movies that gives the beginning of his origins. You have to watch this and the animated series to really appreciate Bob Kane's character and stories.
