Theresa Charles "Reesie Houston" was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Rest assured, this 22 year old singer/musician is "a star on the rise". Others have doubted her success, yet, that has been her motivation to continuously ascend above and beyond, in which she has exceeded the expectations of all.

Because of Reesie's passion for music, not only is she vocally inclined, she is also skilled at playing the acoustic guitar, piano, clarinet, French horn and alto saxophone. In her senior year of high school, she was offered a full scholarship to Grambling State University for her superior vocal schools. So much, went on the life of this young lady, and though she was unable to except the offer due to unforeseen circumstances, it never deterred her from pursuing her dreams and aspirations.

Reesie sings: Neo Soul, Classical, Jazz, Pop and R&B. She has performed at Club 420 (Downtown Houston, TX), Club Clarks (Downtown Ft. Worth, TX), Fun Day t the Park, Battle of the Bands (Austin,TX). The open mic sessions she's performed at are: Venues (Houston, TX), Downtown Fort Worth, TX. Reesie's next and upcoming shows will be Bayou Classic, New Orleans in November 2009.

Determined, driven, dedicated and devoted are just a few words that describe such a dynamic young lady, who has relentlessly proven to conquer and triumph over many obstacles, as she presses her way towards the mark of yet her higher calling.
