@tiaoconnor it is not so strange since he is Italian or French Italian and Romanian is similiar to Italian since it has Latin roots.Of course being married to a woman from Romania does help.

I am a writer and I am so inspired by Angela Gheorghiu that I have even written many an article and poem about her those who wish to read them may simply google "Angela Gheorhgiu, Gianni Truvianni"

Angela Gheorghiu is great in this aria and to those who prefer Tebaldi or Callas than I suggest what should be logical to them and that being that they stick to watching their videos and leave the rest of us who are moved by Angela Gheorghiu with our videos and stop constantly putting her down.

@mcross15 why should he?even after his goal Italy was still losing in a match they needed to draw in order to progress to the next round so this goal by in and of itself meant nothing if Italy did not get a second one which they did not.

@pchantreau I dont know about that Beethoven,Wagner,Puccini,Verdi,Tchaikowsky,Bach were definately on a par or at least in my opinion though I can not speak for others.

@legendarypwnerv2 actually Mozart along with many of his friends were free-Masons. In fact his opera "The Magic Flute" was definately a masonic opera.

@XXXDustinEchoesXXX salieri is not like the main character, he is the main character. If you really look at it this film is not about Mozart so much but the way Salieri felt about Mozart which is just as the play and the book was by Russian poet, Pushkin.
