Today's mainstream music scene is bloated with thousands of mediocre artists all clinging to the same promises their labels made while welcoming them into the industry. However, with less capital flowing through the industry, these promises, like artistic control and royalties seem to sit on the back burner as the artists struggle to earn for their label and manager, let alone themselves. They get caught in a position where they're severed from their art and the reason they signed up in the first place. Its not all bad, though, because technology is on the side of the independent artist, and it happens to be Ian Sloane's bitch. He wrote, performed and produced his upcoming release, Lets Talk Tomorrow, with the help of engineer Chris Kahn. While, this might not seem like the biggest deal, because everyone's got a home studio these days, just take a listen. The record sounds bigger and badder than anything coming off the assembly line. These handcrafted jams flourish with the love that only a father can give to his son. And not only is this record Ian Sloane's son, it's the up and coming Prince of the Pop world.
