Maybe this is just me, but I find Tara's comments sooo annoying. Perhaps she is not very experience in this, but her comments are so redundant, and unnecessary.

@indiatree taking off on an outside edge while doing a flip does NOT make it a lutz!!!! flips' entrance has the 3 turns, which allows half revolution pre-rotate to create momentum for taking off. Lutz jumps doesn't have this luxury, you have to pre-rotate with your arms instead.

@BALISONCLARK If you see how Sasha landed on her ass most of the time, and counldn't even wrestle the Gold medal out of Kimmie at world. And Irina, a powerful jumper but sloppy with some horrific choreograph, was many time favored to win at world, yet couldn't outskate Kwan.

@Fo4ts how did they calculate the GOE? for example, the double axel, most judges give her 2,but she ended up with 1.00. Can someone explain? or the 3F+2Lo, she got mostly 1 and one 2 from judges but her GOE is 0.8

Althouh Mao's speed, flow and jump techniques has improved, but it seems to me that her jumps are not at tight as they used to be, she used to drill in the air, but not anymore i don't think. Or is it just me?

@yi81 I agree! the BASE VALUE of a 3 axel should definitely worth much more than it is now. Perhaps much closer to the base value of the 3lutz-3t IMO. Many female skaters can perform 3lutz-3t with such consistency, while very very few can even attemp the 3axel in practice let alone competition....

@triciamatsuda then just be happy and enjoy Asada for her beautiful skating, her improvements and accomplishments. Remember the glass is half full!

@KatrinchenOnIce How else can she become the first women to land 3 triple axels in the same competition? . Esp when it was getting close to the Olympic, knowing the lutz wasn't working in her favor. Beside she is one of a very few skater that always try to improve on everything else, her spins...
