The conductor couldn't handle her tempos and energy plus the orchestra is just not good - made a lot of the concerto simply sound frantic. Still, she's amazing even when she's not at her best!

Caballe made a record of baroque arias around 1980 that was fantastic. She sang a lot of these arias in recitals with piano from the beginning of her career. She was obviously not in her prime for this Moscow concert (which I think is later than 1981.)
