He fired a warning shot and the passenger charged at him trying to take the Trooper down. Since they were both hostile, driver appeared to be intoxicated, it was a lawful stop and lawful orders were given. Both men were racist calling him, in a derogatory manner, White Man.

The Officer is wrong and should be charged with assault and battery. In his training, he is taught to defuse the situation, even in a hostile moment. Hitting the 2nd woman put his partner in harms way.

As an officer, I find this to be absolutely wrong and this officer should be suspended or possibly fired.
