Wow. Murugadoss is surely planning something special with 7am Arivu. Gonna be another mind-blower after magnum-opus Endhiran. And not to forget Suriya - who's always been on top form for the past 10 years (this year marks his 10th year as an ACTOR - after Nandha which released in 2001). Of course, Kamalji's beautiful daughter Shruti Haasan. Another heroine who will dub for herself in Tamil (Trisha, Nayanthara, Shriya, Tamanna, Anushka, etc - are you listening?)

When an audience sees an actor's performance, the first thing that will tip them off, as to a bad performance is, the actor's inability to believe in what he's saying or doing. A bad actor will not feel the way the character feels and when that occurs, the realism will not be there. That's why actor's are always talking about "motivations". Motivation is what makes some one do and say things. You must first understand a character's motivations, before you can understand the character.

However an actor chooses to prepare, a good actor, if he has done his job well, will make his performance seemless and uncontrived. The goal is to not make people think you are acting (even though, they know you are) but to make them believe, you have convictions for every thing that you say and do.

Character actors, are very good at playing different kinds of personalities; they are able to portray a specific personality type, in a naturalistic manner. Method actors, immerse them selves in their material. They will live their character and their character's life. By doing this, they are able to "feel" their character and essentially, become that character.
