All the tracks except "Prologue" were included on the "BBC Sessions" 2 CD set (out of print, unbfortunately).

Reminds me more of Fairport Convention than Renaissance. Not that that's a bad thing!

This is actually not from an APP album. "Freudiana" was a concept album for a projected musical written by Eric Woolfson. But Parsons produced, so it's sort of a de facto Project album.

The singer pronounces it "hands" rather than "Hans", so Silva deserves a little break, anyway.

Kennedy also did a version on his solo album. Haven't heard it, though.

This song frightened me when I was a kid! The string arrangement is very scary. The 2003 version

is much gentler, but makes the point just as well.

A nicely produced cover of a Moody Blues original. When did it come out?

Thanks for posting! This is actually the FIRST cover of a tune originally composed by the Moody Blues. Ironically, it was by far the rarest Moodies track, only appearing on a rare European EP. I actually like this version better than the Moodies version -- it flows a lot better!

Thanks for posting. However, technically, this song wasn't on the original album, but was only originally released on a French EP about a year and a half later. Although it's probably the rarest original Moodies song, it was the first to be covered - by a Dutch group called Short '66.

Nice sound quality! The Moody Blues covered this in 1964 as the B-side of their "Go Now" single!

This demo sounds a lot less "poppy" than the final version. Nice attempt at a hit single, anyway.

The credits aren't quite right. Paul doesn't play guitar, and Joey plays congas, but not drums. Carlos Santana and Michael Shrieve were jamming with Joey, Jorma and Jack, and the song was edited from the jam.

I saw him 8/30/86, in Saratoga, New York. The entire show has been uploaded to YouTube. He does sound rough in places, but still decent.

What release is this on?

I don't quite understand this one -- 3 1/2 minutes of Elton noodling pointlessly on synths. Sounds like bits and pieces that he couldn't assemble into an actual song.

Much better than at least half the songs on the "Jump Up" album, when it was recorded. Sometimes, I don't understand his selection process for album tracks at all!

It'd be great if Janic's and Elton's versions could be combined for a duet..

You've got these depressing Bernie about cocaine addiction accompanied by upbeat, happy Elton pop music! One of the few times that they were totally out of sync!

The demo sounds like something from "Exile on Main Street" as opposed to the gospel rock of the final version. Wouldn't have fit in well on "Madman..", but still a great song.

Bootlegs exist of Elton performing the missing verse live, so I don't know about lawsuits..

It's amazing how the "Madman.." songs reatin their power, even without all the production.
