@Blago6actual actually, have you ever heard of glyptal? used to seal the inside of an engine for several reasons, one being so that sand and other debris from the casting of the block doesn't get into the oil supply...
@bigboy14100 ford tried to use it in the stock cars, but NASCAR banned it before it could hit the track. something about kicking the shit out of everything else out there. so they put it in a bunch of drag cars and cleared house... oh yeah, and this was all in the 60's
