Hi, I have been working as a Solo artist under the name of T-Rev, and as part of a duo called the Retroids.
I also occasionally busk in Windsor. I have two busking kits, one of which is an old Yamaha acoustic with a seymore duncan woody in the soundhole and a microphone for vocals. all this goes through an AA battery powered roland micro cube via a double to single jack. In order to boost the volume and for the sound to be even, I use a boss compressor pedal for the mic and a boss tuner pedal for the guitar. My second and main kit is a marshal 50 acoustic amp with a yamaha compass acoustic guitar and a shure beta mic. This is powered through a car battery and an inverter.
My set up for the duo is a Rickenbacker 330 red going through a Laney LC50II, this amp is very responsive to clean sounds and is all valve which is why I chose it. I don't use any other effects other than the gain on the amp which gives a really nice valve distortion.
