I may be one of the few people who find this song to be their favorite off of Battle Studies. I just get chills everytime hearing it. I also love when he sings over the chorus at the very end.

"Half of My Heart" John Mayer

John Mayer singing "Half of my Heart" at the Highline Ballroom for the PTSD We are Family event on May 16, 2011.

haha, lets put it this way. John Mayer is going to go down as one of the greatest artist's in history. Ive followed this guy for years, and still not many people get his personality. It cracks me up to hear these Taylor Swift fans say he is a jerk and has no talent. She will never even come close...

I agree with most of the comments about his singing. It has definitly improved in recent years. That is what a great artist does. He keeps improving and develops many styles in his music. But the singing here still isn't bad and is still much better than I can do. Also you have to keep in mind he...

Taking On Water- John Mayer live at Berklee

John Mayer playing "Taking on Water" at Berklee College of Music

    trentp3 trentp3 commented:

It won't be on his new album because this was recorded before Battle Studies came out. It is a very beautiful song though. It would be really cool though if he ever made an EP album with some of his rare songs he has performed in the past. Included on the album would have to be the "Hotel Bathroo...

I don't know why so many people argue about what type of music JM should play. Am I one of the only few people who can listen to his pop, blues, folk, acoustic, and even jazz inflential songs. Every type of music he does sounds flawless. One of the only true musicians out there. That's why you ar...
