A 60s San Francisco Soap Opera
There are so many reasons I love this movie. Let's begin with the stars...Bette Davis and Susan Hayward! Let's continue with the subject...Loosely based on the Lana Turner-Johnny Stompanato murder case! Not to mention the scenery..Gorgeous San Francisco, the city I call my own! The cinematographer was creative and shot at relatively unknown yet magnificent locations. And let's not forget the co-stars Mike "Mannix" Conners, Joey Heatherton (who hasn't had a fascination with her?), and DeForest Kelley from Star Trek! And finally...It's a great 1960s style movie. I don't know how I never saw this movie.

Judy Garland was one of the best performers of her generation. Put away whatever pre-conceived notions you had of Judy's later years and just enjoy pure entertainment.
