Founded in 2007, TOGETHER WITH THE CHILDREN (TWC), is a US Non-Profit raise awareness and generate funding for the development, application, and sharing of sustainable solutions for marginalized children and families who are affected by family and social violence through its support of the JUCONI program in Mexico and the organizations through which JUCONI works worldwide.
From its 18 years of experience, JUCONI has realized that a child's street-involvement is frequently a consequence of a greater social illness: intergenerational violence. To achieve the lasting social integration of a street-involved child requires a personalized, long-term intervention that takes into account the key actors in her life: her family, school, work, and community. JUCONI's unique educative-therapeutic program has been internationally recognized for its capacity to break the cycles of familial violence and chronic poverty. 80% of the children attended by JUCONI achieve permanent social integration.
Through its Technical Support Program, JUCONI is now sharing its proven practices with other like-focused programs in Mexico and around the world.
Through its awareness-raising programs, TOGETHER WITH THE CHILDREN seeks to inform everyday US citizens of the ongoing plight of street-involved children and families in Mexico, and the important role that violence plays in their social exclusion. TWC aims to highlight the effectiveness of the JUCONI intervention in Mexico, and enlist the support of Americans who are concerned for the wellbeing of the world's children.
