So this one might have been one of those 'sounded better in my head' ideas. Most of you out there who are also artists will understand the process of doing something different and being wary of how people will perceive it. I wanted to get a much calmer sound for Pallet Town, not only because it's the home town in Red/Blue/Yellow, but because since I'm doing the Gold/Silver soundtrack as well, I wanted a 'welcome back' sort of feel. Hence the more intricate finger-picking style I'm not sure I've really incorporated in previous covers. I was drived by a comment I read on a Pallet Town video on YouTube saying how the song brought them to tears from the nostalgia. My acoustic guitars seemed to have more compression than I wanted when I recorded them to video, so I put in the many layered symphony track to complete the sound that I felt was lacking. Also, I felt a smoother distorted sound would be fitting for my style a bit more. So I hope you enjoy this one!
As I promised last week, I shot the video with my new camera in 1080p instead of expanding a 720p one up. Unfortunately my camera shoots 1080 on 20 frames a second. As some of you may know, the minimum amount for the human eye not to notice the frame rate is around 24 fps. So in sacrificing the frame rate, I gave you a much prettier picture if you watch in 1080p. However, from now on I'm going to do the videos in 720 and expand like the last video because I feel for music related video, frame rate is more important than picture quality. So look forward to video quality similar to my Battlefield cover from now on.
Thanks everyone for the comments and subs! I'm constantly watching my counter so I can give you guys another special I've prepared for you to give you a more personal experience into the rather twisted world of FamilyJules7x and my music recording antics. :D
