Crazy 70's AM pop jazz rock. I don't know how else to describe it. I do know it is brilliant.

I'm on my bi-annual Men Without Hats kick. Rhythm of Youth is Top Ten, for sure.

Gene and Dean's love for Motorhead is so clearly apparent in this track. I rock Stroker Ace while driving busy freeways and it makes everything alright for some reason.

@MirraSyren I've got 'Mondo Deco'....this video isn't the record version, is it? I like the chorus better on this version. Danny holds the '...it won't be long.....yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhh' a lot longer than on the album version. Mondo Deco is a great listen!

Nice bag...I've got the WM Alpinlite too and love it. Well worth the $400+. I laugh in the face of cold weather!!! I also use Tyvek for my groundsheet with my Tarptent. If you want to get rid of that 'crinkly' sound--throw it in the washing machine. It'll soften it up and quiet it down. :)

Very nice. I had the chance to interview these guys when the played St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit on the 'Chance" tour. Awful winter night--not very many people in the crowd. Despite that, the band was as nice as can be.

Great post! Cypress will always have a place at the top of my favorite album list. A great American band that shoulda been huge.

Cypress is definitely one of my Top 10 favorite albums of all time. I think Mitch is one of the most brilliant American songwriters......ever. God, I loved this band. Saw 'em in Detroit on Halloween 1987ish---Mitch and the gang came out in animal masks. A show to remember, for sure.

I feel very dirty and evil when i listen to Nick Cave, this song especially. I like it....
