@surgboy4791 I would pay quite a lot to buy it, but DVDs of musicals are rare, I think. I´ve read somewhere that making them is rather expensive. Sir Cameron may have thought that not enough people would buy it. Perhaps he thought it would endanger the UK Tour. Anyway, I believe such an amazing p...

@karengillanwannabe Do not think that he sings exceptionally high for a boy, though. Boys who sing in church choirs or - more generally - who are classically trained sing higher. If you want to hear a boy who sings really high, listen to Clint van der Linde singing the Queen of the Night Aria, wh...

@NaomixLouise Well, I don´t know the Welsh language, so I can´t say whether the differences between the sung Welsh versions of the songs and the subtitles are big, but in the subtitles you can read the original English lyrics of these songs. They probably thought that translating the already tran...

@punkeDeMo As another poster has already said, Gwion has improved very, very much since this November 2008 TV show. Search for his final rendition of Where Is Love at The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, which took place on January 8, 2011. There´s plenty of emotion in it - he shows Oliver´s sadness (a...

@Fabulousxxxxxxx You ask why they picked Gwion. Well, maybe because of his talent. Just write "Gwion Wyn Jones" and "last performance" into the search box, and you will find links to Where Is Love he sang on January 8, 2011. Listen to it, please. Perhaps you will change your mind. @TheChrisMcwhirter He uses the Cockney dialect - a dialect used by the poor people living in London in the past. I think some people may still use it nowadays. A lot of characters in Oliver! speak in Cockney - Dodger, the rest of Fagin´s gang, Nancy, Bet, Bill Sikes. I´m not quite sure about Fagi...

(Part III) Gwion´s way of singing Where is love was, in my view, unique. I know of no other Oliver who sang it like this. William Pearce also sobbed at the beginning of the fourth verse, but didn´t stress "I can mean something to". The rest of Olivers, as far as I know (but I´m not an expert), sa...

I like Russ Abbot´s version of Reviewing The Situation best (compared to the other Fagins´ versions from this production of Oliver!). I think Rowan, Omid and Griff tried too much to be funny and I find their humour too harsh.

Thanks for uploading. I haven´t heard Anthony before. I have seen Gwion, Ethan and William at Drury Lane and heard the other Olivers on YouTube (except Francesco). Anthony´s style of singing seems to be rather choirboy-like, markedly different from Gwion´s.
