that time's drawn on my face,
If you could see the grand design
that brought me to this place,
would you still ask me why?
The looping curves and sharp crossroads,
the borderlines that held me back
are all pure Arabesque...
If you could touch a single part
and understand the whole,
if you could feel a beating heart
and comprehend the soul,
would you still wonder why?
The soaring highs and crashing lows,
the abstract worlds of complex thought
are all pure Arabesque...
I can't explain a time or place
a beating heart or time-worn face,
but I know I exist,
and in the web of human dreams
I see them arabesque.
If you could watch a river flow
and see each drop of rain,
if you could walk on dunes and snow
and sense each single grain,
would stars fall from the sky?
The winds of fate and tides of change,
the currents of a natural course
are all pure arabesque...
If love was just a single line
that's drawn across a page,
if life was lived outside of time
and not shaped by an age,
would all the moments fly?
The questions would all fade away,
the images would be so clear
but it's all arabesque...
I can't explain a love or snow,
a grain of sand or rivers' flow,
but I know I exist;
and in the web of human dreams
I see them arabesque.
The beating hearts and grand designs,
the grains of sand and complex minds are all pure arabesque.
