TRUTH HAS NOTHING TO FEAR FROM INVESTIGATION

We live in an age where information is becoming available at an exponentially increasing rate. Much of this information is misguided, whether by intent or accident, we need to be skeptical of everything that is presented to us if we are to move forward intellectually. We don't need to accept an explanation because it has been accepted by others (no matter how admirable they may be) when we have the tools at our disposal to separate reality from fiction.

The only legitimate excuse for failing to critically analyse concepts put before us is that we are unable - either lacking in resources or ability. To blindly accept the "knowledge" given may avoid reinventing the wheel, but it will certainly prevent improving the concept of the wheel.
