About this user

Fernando was born in Acapulco Mexico. His interest in drums first began while watching the drum core band rehearsals after school. Fernando was then hired to play drums for Hard Rock Cafe and got to travel with the house band to all their restaurants in Mexico.

Eager to learn, Fernando moved to Los Angeles to enroll in a year and a half program at the famous Musicians Institute in Hollywood. After completing the program Fernando worked at the school as a teacher assistant for a short time before moving to Argentina for six months where he was hired to pre-produce and record an album for BMG singer song writer Ivan Noble.

Back in Los Angeles Fernando started a band called Moktezoom. The band got to play many great shows including opening for Universal music recording artist Super Litio, The NAMM Show 2004 Gibson's stage, AcaFest 2005 in Acapulco, Mexico and Rock el Boat Festival opening for bands like Amigos Invisibles, ZOE and Lucy Bell to name a few.

After Moktezoom Fernando's mind was open for different styles of music. Through friends he met people from the music industry and started working with Warner Music Latino artists such as Eduardo Cruz, Sheila Durcal, Laura Pausini, Yahir, LU and Tommy Torres. Fernando even had the opportunity to work with Universal Music Grammy winner Juanes on a music video called "Tres" from his album "La Vida Es Un Ratico," which aired internationally.

Currently, as the co-founder, writer and producer of a band called Amidst, Fernando is promoting their first album "Never Better Than Nothing." Amidst' has performed at the following: Sonorama Festival in Mexico opening for international acts like KORN and Cypress Hill, EXA Concierto in Acapulco, Mexico and SXSW music conference in Austin, TX.

Other artists and shows Fernando is producing, playing or recording are: Fragil Heart recording artist Alana Grace, 20th Century FOX shows Glee and Bones, CBS Perfect Couples, EMI/Capitol Records artist Joey Montana and Pati Cantu.
