About this user
Faded Cadence are a band from around Birmingham, UK. They mix acoustic music with unique sounding vocals, and with the addition of a violin player, break out of the generic musical trend set in their local area. They have regular airplay on Kerrang! Radio where they were featured unsigned artist of the week, and have also had several interviews on Beacon Radio. In 2010, Faded Cadence played at Greenbelt Festival, Birmingham Artsfest and Youth4Youth Festival in Bristol, as well as many other performances.
The band were picked out of over 1600 entrees to be in the final 12 of Glastonbury's Emerging Talent Competition, which meant that they got the opportunity to play in front of Michael and Emily Eavis, the bookers for each stage at Glastonbury Festival, and many others including an editor of Q magazine and a BBC Radio 1 producer. Unfortunately, they didn't win, but as a result have been featured on A Greener Festivals 'Festival Harvest 2010' CD: a collection of Britain's best upcoming talent. The CD is supported by the Glastonbury Festival, the Croissant Neuf Summer Party, the Isle of Wight Festival, Kendall Calling, Solfest, T-in the Park, and many more.
Faded Cadence hope to play around the UK in 2011, and are currently planning their début EP.
