Excellent videos Mr. Camiss (and team!),

I've been fly fishing for over 20 years and always meant to start tying my own. Fishing was intermittent at times and I never seemed to able to find the time to start tying. I recently acquired some tying gear and am about to start tying in earnest. Looking for good videos of the process, which include commentary on some of the very basics, I came across your videos. What luck!
I'm also making a cabinet for fly gear and am designing a fly tying bench set up.
With the season here on Vancouver Island, I intend to start with some basic bead head weighted egg patterns. I'll be looking through the rest of your videos to see if you have a pattern for that.
Great camera work and music by your team! Very clear and calm.

Thanks very much!

Excellent videos, Mr.. Cammiss - short, sweet and to the point. I'm getting back into tying and these videos will help me tremendously. I also appreciate how you "whip finish" by hand. I remember when I was figuring out how to use a whip finisher ("tool")...it took me days. Finally, the light bulb came on and I realized, "Why didn't they just tell me to tie a couple half hitches?" What a riot. Thanks.

Tied my first wooly bugger last night and am "hooked" on fly tying. I work with computers all day and found great relaxiation in the hour and a half tying I did last night. I had to keep telling myself to slow down and enjoy the tying. Shift gears out of efficency and productivity and into more of an artist frame of mind. You are an inspiration and a wonderful teacher. NO WHIP FINISH FOR ME. I know how to finish my fly with an old school double half hitch now!
God bless,
Paul

This looks really good! I just spoke to my father about taking over his fly-tying gear, since he quit fly-tying due to illness. Your videos look really good, can't wait to have the gear on my table and your videos on my laptop. Got hooked on fly-fishing last year, and what could be better than to break the 1 kg limit with one of my own flies. Cheers from Norway
