Tonya Ware ~ "The Voice"
Tonya Ware, a native of Key West, Florida, was born to home missionaries. Her parents traveled throughout the United States pioneering and planting churches. Tonya began singing at the age of six. After she was older, she accompanied her father as he went to minister. Tonya's father spent a great deal of his time providing street ministry and ministry in local jails. He took Tonya with him so she could sing before he preached to the inmates. As soon as she opened her mouth, the inmates would come to the front bars to hear the "little girl with the amazing voice." Now Tonya Ware is creating a major buzz in the music industry. Her debut CD, Tonya Ware -- "The Voice", has people all over the world taking notice of her talent. Tonya's passionate single release, "Put My Hand In Yours," written by Marvin Winans, is standing-up to some of today's "hottest" music - both in mainstream and Christian markets. The production and sound quality are second-to-none. "Put My Hand In Yours" has already soared all the way to #10 on the Adult Contemporary FMQB charts and catapulted to #18 on the popular XM Radio Gospel charts! Tonya's music video for "Put My Hand In Yours" continues to be featured on BET's Video Gospel, Music Choice, Blastro, and The Word Network. Tonya has also been featured on The Gospel Music Channel's -- "Kitchen Sink." Tonya's MySpace page is being visited by fans on nearly every continent. On July 13, 2008, Tonya was presented with a "Jackie" Award from the Mississippi Gospel Music Association for National Female Soloist of the Year. Tonya Ware is a Stellar Award nominated artist for New Female Artist of the Year. Proving her wide spread appeal to people of all nations, presently more than sixty-five percent (65%) of sales from her online distributor has been from Japan. Another fifteen percent (15%) of sales have come from the United Kingdom. Recently, Tonya Ware became a World Vision Artist and plans to use her voice to build a better world for children.
