Billy Cotton during the 1950's had a radio show - at about 1.30pm every Sunday - it was called The Billy Cotton Band Show he often sang as well. He sang "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" - which is on youtube.
His son - also called Bill - became Managing Director of the BBC and died in 200...

Brings back my carefree youth - but makes me feel so sad, the Platters were truly wonderful. I first saw them in the film' Rock Around The Clock' in 1956.

I am 68yrs old - this music brings back those glorious late 1950s days - the jukeboxes in the coffee bars playing al the latest records for a old sixpence lol.
Such happy carefree days everything was new - our own british singers as well as Elvis and other USA Rock n Rollers.
