i feel this innings was better than the 190 odd he got at headingley. And that was not a bad innings as he absolutely thrashed a very good english attack on atrack where everybody assumed england will win easily. But the cool elegance of this innings does it for me.

they seemed so fast because speed is always relative. Protective equipments batsmen height reaction time have improved as happens in all sports. And btw viv averaged 44 against aus and 40 against pak.
