Avoid those whose purpose in life is to drag you down. They hate anyone who will not roll in the mud with them.

People set out to change the world. What fools! Change yourself and the world will change of its own accord.

Don't spend all your time thinking about God. It makes your brain ache and it lures you far from the path.

Morality is what religions teach when they've ceased to understand the point.

You see a great rock. Is it inside or outside your mind?

The world is like a mirror. See? Smile and your friends smile back.

In a church you uncover your head. In a mosque or a synagogue you keep your head covered. In a Buddhist temple you take off your shoes. And Zen? The sky is blue, the grass is green.

You say far more about Zen when you keep your big mouth shut!
