Tommy began his career in NY performing with local bands and quickly moving on to session work.
In 1989 he was the musical director and guitarist for Dee Dee Ramone (of The Ramones). Shortly thereafter he toured all over the world with pop act Sweet Sensation in support of their album and #1 single "If Wishes Came True."
He was signed to a publishing deal with Peer Music, the largest independently owned publishing company worldwide. At that time he also began producing other artists for Peer, and was cited by their NY chiefs Bernadette O'Reilly and Frank Carrado as one of the top "new" producers in NY.
As a composer and producer he'd already penned tracks that were being picked up by myriad television shows, and after one too many blizzards decided to move to sunny LA to pursue a career writing spots for TV and Radio.
He started at Endless Noise and within a few weeks had national spots under his belt. When that company split up he went freelance, first writing as a "pinch hitter" for many of the most well known "jingle houses" in LA and then on his own with ad agency clients seeking him out directly.
He has been the driving force behind Bandai's Power Rangers commercials for almost ten years, at one point although the company changed agencies they still sought him out for the music. He also worked on many of the most well known and successful Toyota spots through Saatchi & Saatchi.
Currently Tommyspots has just completed the latest set of new Power Rangers spots, another for Dragonball Z, a demo in the works for Mattel, and is starting a new project for Aston Martin.
His studio is in Culver City, central to everything LA and Hollywood, and he can often be found there riffing wild guitar into all hours of the night!
