Hi, YouTube friends. I'm Tom. I live in the northern part of Florida. I'm a self-taught classical guitarist and flautist. I also do tumbling for fun. I'm no professional in any of these activities, so please do not expect too much from my videos and be tolerant of mistakes.

About this user

Me as a guitarist:
My first guitar was electric, which went into the corner of my room and got covered with dust shortly. Then I bought an acoustic guitar (steel-stringed). But I was just singing the same type of songs on and on while strumming simple chords, and I got bored. So I switched to the classical guitar. I'm totally self-taught. Perhaps my progress is slower than people who study in music schools or who have private teachers, but I'm getting better little by little and I'm enjoying playing it. I especially love Bach, Sor, Tarrega, Barrios and Villa-Lobos and I'm hoping that I'll be able to play major pieces by these great composers properly.

Me as a flautist:
Since my musical interest had shifted from pop music to classical, I wanted to have another instrument to widen my perspective in classical music. I chose the flute as my second instrument, mainly because the flute plays the important part in most of the songs that had moved me to cry; among them are Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, Bizet's L'Arlésienne and Grieg's Peer Gynt. I just play the flute only sporadically and my progress is marginal at most. I wonder if I'll ever get to my favorite Bach's flute sonatas.

Me as a trickster/tumbler:
Some YouTube videos of tricksters with amazing techniques incited me to get back my old tumbling techniques, which I originally acquired at the sand pit when I was an elementary school student. It didn't take so much time to have them back, and I'm trying to get some new moves. I want to try double back someday. However, I feel I've almost reached my physical limit and realize the dream will never come true:(
