Good stuff. I've just returned to a freezing UK having holiday'd in your beautiful country, so your vids are a great reminder of some of the routes I took. I've been to NZ 5 times and have driven (in a car) most of the main North Island routes - stunning. I drive wagons in the UK but we have noth...

YES! What a great version. I reckon AW & CS were the best rhythm section going from GFTO thru to Drama and Run With the Fox. Listen to them on RW's Statue Of Justice. AW's sound was crisp and precise and their use of dynamics was unique. It's been a great Yesyear but this era always blows me away.

Glad to see that while Midge explored the toyshop Mary was busy getting her oats. . . . . and a bottle of scotch it seems (12:26)! Sorry, couldn't resist. Hey tho, the voice of Richard Baker has got me feeling like I'm ill and off school.

I can't get this freakin song outta my head! "You can never be, anyboh hoh dee, in this world" So, we've all been listening to Radio4 then. Well done us!!! Of course, 10 years ago we couldn't have leapt on to youtube to flesh out our knowledge after every obscure documentary. I wonder if Brian Ma...

Good job groovycleaner. The whole sequence of images from Fragile through to Yessongs, along with the music, completely captured my imagination and still does. I can stare and ponder my Yessongs sleeve for hours. For me, Yes got it all just about right then. Of course, next up was Tales... and ma...

Looking back, it's clear that Kaye & Banks' days were numbered from the start. Bruford & Squire just hit the ground running and Anderson's voice was astonishing on the early stuff. Banks developed into a tight & funky guitarist but his work on Yes was vile! But this song just totally moves along ...

@Auntkekebaby You're so right. The whole'83 to '85 period is still derided and certainly the DayGlo visuals have dated, but Grace Jones, Frankie and a host of others had a totally unique take on the iconography of previous decades: mixing adulation with a new understanding of the exploitation inv...

@sshea1222 You are absolutely spot on - how boring & predictable has TG become. The days when it was unmissable TV seem a long, long time ago. In fact, all TV seems that way now - hence I listen to and watch great music on YouTube - and the cap certainly fits in this case. Hello everyone XX

@aggressiveinliner11 Mate, its a Gibson BR9 steel guitar. Steve Howe used steel guitars often with Yes to very good effect - taking the instrument away from its usual country & western/blues comfort zone. However - the slide solo on this live version I've always felt sounds vile!! Steve Howe is a...

Out Of The Blue is a beautifully produced album, but the opening bars of this song are SO perfectly produced/arranged I grin with each listen, and I've probably listened to this album every week or so since the late '70's. Jeff Lynne carefully left plenty of sonic space between the many elements ...
