Tom Colquhoun is a self-taught Scottish guitarist based in Glasgow who has been playing since the age of 8. In his teens he developed his own unique style of playing two guitars simultaneously with both instruments sitting upright on a stand of his own design, the two guitars being played predominantly using the technique of 'tapping'. The style allows for great versatility with one hand/guitar playing chords and bass and the other hand free to play melody and lead lines. On his recordings you can clearly hear two distinct and separate guitar parts-these are recorded live with no other musicians or overdubs. This, however, is just one of many techniques Tom Colquhoun employs either in playing two guitars or one guitar to expand the range of possibilities for guiitar music.

Hey! Got 2 things to share with ya

1 - I've started a new channel, named "TheAndrewGorny" ... it will contain only LIVE footage of me performing at various shows/events. No more rehearsed indoor takes, you get to see me raw, how I play ALWAYS (including all the mistakes LOL) So go check it out

2 - I'm buying a HARP GUITAR!!! But, I don't know if you know this, they're pretty expensive. I saw that you subscribed to my channel, which means you have an interest in my music, so if you're into it, pick up a copy of my NEW RECORD, and help me get that harp guitar so I can make a whole new harp guitar album!!! If you write in the receipt of your purchase that it's for the harp guitar, you will get the harp guitar album for FREE!!! (whenever it comes out)

You can pick up the NEW ALBUM here: www.andrewgorny.com

Hope this message finds you with a smile,
Peace

even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome,

One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.-- Joan of Arc

Conventional opinion is the ruin of our souls, something borrowed which we mistake as our own. Ignorance is better than this, clutch at madness instead. ... Rumi
