The if I'm not mistaken, this radio has a motorized dial. When using the motorized dial, the larger dial will spin fast and the small moves slowly, making a distinct whizing sound.

This type of washing machine was nicknamed the Bouncing Betty. The spinning rpm was about 1450 rpm, so hell yes it spun fast!

@dunhillsupramk3 as the 1980's rolled around the Walkman became cheaper in terms in price and quality. By 1989 you could buy a Walkman without the cassette port for a few bucks. The REAL Walkman was built like a tank and it costed around $125.00(someone correct me if i'm wrong).

@da324 If you want a quicker solution, and you took notice where the water holes are with the mirror, take a small drill bit that will fit the small hole and with your hand clear open the holes. DON"T USE A DRILL.

where do you find a AM tramsmitter kit?

By the way, I have a N22959 transformer from a old Silvertone 18 radio that I used for parts. The transformer should work because the tubes lit up and no smoke odor. Let me know the status on your radio.

@neatoauctions It all depends on the transmission. My 57 chevy had a cast iron powerglide tranny. Shifting the gear selector all the way down did put the car in reverse. The hydromatic tranny, with the gear selector down, put the car in low.
