@KIKEIXMR1982 evo 9 mr stock boost and stock turbo run 15's at this track. modified ones barely 14.5's on a good day.

Why would you want to replace the oil pump? Don't they typically outlast the engine? Seems to me that replacing the oil pump is just a cause for more potential problems.

Sounds exactly like the engine I recently disassembled. It was a rod bearing. Very common in these engines.

@wambam2nv Yes it does. The more exhaust gasses the wastegate diverts the slower the turbo is going to turn. In order for the turbo to build more pressure it has to turn faster, so when the wastegate is regulating boost it is doing it by regulating how much exhaust the turbine sees which is also ...

It sounds like that because it is being controlled by a duty cycled boost solenoid. Its perfectly normal.

That engine sounds like its about to take a dump. haha. I would do the same thing.

Whoa that thing needs to go down the quarter. With an 1/8 mile like that it definitely has a 9 second quarter mile in it.

I think a video of the removal would be excellent.

@Brendon00000 Its low for a 4 cylinder gas engine, not for a diesel. Diesels make their power in the lower rpms.

@14Bugs Element tuning ran 500whp through the stock block on their time attack car for an entire season. It never let go they eventually just upgraded for more power.

@67mustang351windsor You have to set the cylinder at top dead center for a cylinder leakage test, because at TDC both intake and exhaust valves are shut so the combustion chamber can be pressurized to check for leaks. Compression test you put the gauge in and crank it like he did.
