Lynchburg - We're honored to have you on board. Semper Fi!
lnbj50 (6 months ago)
I was watching Fox and Friends 3 weeks ago and saw and listened to Mrs. Manion. I knew I had to act in Travis' name and to honor him and those who he admired, the 9/11 Heroes. I called the TMF, told them I wanted to setup the first 911/Heroes Run in Virginia. In the last 3 weeks we expect to surpass 250 runners and we are committed to name a newly established veterans service through Centra [Health] Foundation in Lynchburg to Travis' honor. I am proud of the Marines who gathered quickly at my side. Steve Bozeman who has run 33 consecutive Marine Marathons holding the American Flag and who has been inducted into the Marine Corps Marathon Hall of Fame. Steve leads the efforts with Ed Breslow, a runner as well as the managing pharmacist at Lynchburg's Target. I know this is the greatest accomplishment of my life and I hope to live the rest of my life in the service of those who have fallen and the heroes of 9/11. God Bless Us All.
