@mindfuckerification How could the wires, detonators, and charges survive the impacts of the planes and subsequent fire, undisturbed, still fully functional and reliable?
Where were they planted?

@sorchstroken So start explaining then:-
How could the charges be rigged to collapse the impact floors first, but be rigged before any impact took place? How could anyone know where to place these charges?
How did they survive the impact and fire?
You told me you would 'gladly' explain this. For ...

I saw a Russian State IL62 at RAF Brize Norton in 2003 or 04, alongside the resident VC10 tankers. Although I didn't get close to it, it was interesting to be able to compare the only two large aircraft that use this unusual engine configuration (the much smaller Lockheed Jetstar being the only o...

@avroken. Apart from the Tristar - it's seats still face forward in RAF service (probably too costly to convert from their original airliner layout).
I was at Brize for a year (2003/04) on VC10 and, even though most of the time I was inside wet fuel tanks fixing leaks, I enjoyed working on the VC...

@Sooksawaspakdee961. Maybe, but Lufthansa are feeling a bit lonely as the only airline to order the passenger version. To be fair though, it's the best large freighter.
Since the 'Airbus copycats' pioneered twin jet widebodies, they've got every right to produce a 787 competitor. Don't confuse '...

@datzfast. True, the A300 & MiG29 vertical tails & AV8B/Harrier2 front fuse & wing are some earlier major applications. It's a fantastic material for wings/tails, but is it good for fuselages?
Boeing still use a frame/stringer construction in the 787 fuselage. The aluminium skins I've seen on oth...

@purplefurball. I agree, although I think the VC10 would have been a better platform for a maritime patrol aircraft, instead of the Comet/Nimrod development. It's naturally long range (5000nm+) and larger cabin would have been beneficial (the Nimrod achieves it's range by using a large collection...

I bought this soundpack just for the teaser aircraft. It was well worth $7 just to get a fsx native BAE 146 so I could give it a virtual cockpit - I personally don't like flying from a 2D cockpit and hardly ever use planes that don't have a vc. It's only a demo but it's got the potential to becom...
Good plane, shit name. Grizzly 2 - what on Earth were they thinking? Surely they can do better than that. Also, any aircraft name with a '2' or '3' is just plain lazy. Why not use something original?
At least the RAF won't be calling it Grizzly, even if other nations do.
