Corey started dancing at the late age of sixteen. He is competitively trained in hip hop and has been dancing for a total of 5 years. He began his career as a dancer, performing and competing and has been involved in various competitions, earning first place and overall awards. He has now expanded his horizons as a dance educator. Originally teaching an all boys hip hop class, Corey now teaches an intermediate and advanced class.
Corey Initially became interested in choreography while teaching his own choreography to colleagues. He gets a lot of inspiration from other choreographers and dancers just like himself, Including Gigi Torres, Nick Demoura, Luther Brown, and Kojo Mayne, just to name a few. He has even auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance Canada with choreographer/dancer Blake McGrath.
As of now, he is currently teaching at two studios: VDA and MMCC. Corey continues to better himself as a dancer and teacher by taking drop-in classes as much as possible at various studios. These classes help him to stay current, learn from different teachers, expand his choreographic imagination and he also plans to continue auditioning for as many things as possible (music videos, commercials, fundraiser events, etc.)
