He was an amazing guitarist. His solos were all crafted with forethought and a lot of them remind me of set pieces. The solo in Over the Mountain to me is the perfect blend of a signature solo combined with a raunchy "rock" feel/vibe. There are a lot of guitar prodigies out there in youtube land...

I was searching for Bireli Lagrene and stumbled onto this guy in my search. I can't understand what in the hell he's rambling on and on about, but this guy is frickin' hilarious! They should give him his own talk show on CNN or make him a judge on American Idol.

I love a culture in which music plays a prominent role and I think these zigeuners are pretty awesome. Their outward appearance though reminds me of the Italian gangsters who ran the bootlegging and illegal gambling operations here in the U.S. back in the 1920's, 30's etc.

His approach to melody and phrasing is very creative; it sometimes takes 20 bars to figure it out, but at the end it makes sense somehow.

@mrfishh The problem with Page is that his live performances left a lot to be desired, but his studio work is polished. Page is creative but not the most technically gifted guitarist.
