Hi Mark, i went to see a pro about my swing and he said my shoulders were getting to steep. Whats the best way to gauge the angle of your shoulders? Cheers Tim

Hey chuck, i found your comment about tiger keeping his shoulders quiet interesting. So i tried keeping my shoulders more quiet out at the range hitting off grass and instantly started hitting divots after the ball on a consistent basis. also because my ball striking improved i added distance too...

he keeps his right arm high at take off, (which is left arm for a right hander) so even though he is under he is still giving himself room to swing and hit certain positions, which is why he can complete this vault

i like the technique BYU is teaching, kelli has the fundaments right in the jump but probably needs to work on her run and pole drop so she can get higher at take off. well done though room for improvement means bigger heights can be achieved!

Haha, just quietly if you look behind the players on the board it says the par 3 is 217 yrds long, i dont think kj choi would get that much spin on his ball, it takes wedges to get that much spin. Also the commentating and sounds are fake. And the balls are just animation too.

Its because he takes off way under, he doesnt give himself a chance to move the pole through which would then allow him to jump high and into the pit rather than just shoot up and down!

@SavuriousSs Actually his grip is fine, the problem is his take off position, he takes off under and needs to get is left arm higher, a squashed bend results from jumping into(forward and low) the pole rather than moving the pole which is getting the body high and forward at take off . its only a half double leg swing, he swings at the start and then picks up/tucks because doing a full double leg swing is extremely hard. Watch bubka and see that his left leg swings right up until it meets the pole, thats a full swing, try doing that with two legs and it slows...

Hooker doesnt purposely drop his knee, because he takes off under knee drive becomes very hard, his swing therefore becomes a double leg swing but this is only a half swing. If you watch the video he swings, then pikes his body which makes him pick up a bit later in the rock back,...

Good technique, if you stop piking in the middle of your swing you will jump alot higher! watch tarasov best technique around.

In my opinion best technique there ever was! Maxim should have been the wr holder but had that terrible leg injury which screwed him up big time
