Colorado based SINGER/SONGWRITER, Tim Hanauer, Started out at the age of 17. Recently, the prolific artist has been making up for lost time. His accomplishments in recent months include a live performance on Channel 9 News Peacock Cafe (NBC), a song featured on The Ghost Whisperer on CBS as well as a song on Joan of Arcadia, earning the first track spot on the Mountain Homegrown Volume IV compilation from Denver's KQMT, earning an ASCAPLUS Award 2006-2007, earning a 2006 Folks Songwriter Showcase Honorable Mention from the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, and releasing his critically acclaimed debut record, Boomerang. Boomerang has been named "A Favorite Acoustic-Style CD of 2006" by KFOG's Rosalie Howarth, DJ for San Francisco's popular Acoustic Sunrise and Sunset shows.
Boomerang was produced by fellow singer/songwriter and upcoming independent producer, Christopher Jak. "Boomerang really began over a late night pool game. Chris Jak and I were talking about music and I got to talking about my record and what I wanted it to be like. I'd been struggling and failing to make it happen for two years. Then, Chris started talking about his vision of it. Our ideas fit perfectly together. If I had an idea, he knew how to make it happen. Then and there I asked him to produce my record." After a sixteen-month effort, the record is now in stores.
