My sincere thanks go out to all who have subscribed to my channel, and/or left such positive comments about my modest efforts here. As with so many other amateurs here on YouTube, I'm still in a mode of learning, on many levels. Encouragement adds fuel to the fire.

I play a William King Vintage Series concert ukulele built in Austin in 2006. (http://www.chantus.com) I purchased it through www.ukeladymusic.com.

I'm a member of the Dallas Ukulele Headquarters, which is always open to new members: http://ukulele.meetup.com/84/

i thought of you last week when i saw this movie called: Stanley's Gig (2000) Stanley Myer (William Sanderson) is a so-so musician who harbors a big dream: to play his ukulele on a cruise line to Hawaii. In order to make ends meet in the meantime, he takes a job in a retirement home playing music for the residents. There, he encounters Eleanor (Faye Dunaway), an aging jazz chanteuse and stubborn recluse whom perhaps only Stanley can reach. Based on a true story, this drama marks Marc Lazard's directorial debut.
it was a very sweet movie and touching story. Great acting, and wonderful characters. Not really for the younger, hip set, but definitely a good watch on a slow night. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

yes, i am still posting on the tube, never thought i would be here this long.
